Effettivamente Mortina non è una bambina comune ma una giovane zombie… o meglio una formidabile detective zombie che, insieme alla sua irriverente Squadra del Mistero – un elegante levriero elegante, un cugino saputello e due amici “vivi-vivi” – risolve i casi più strani, spaventosi ed elettrizzanti che accadano nella suggestiva Villa Decadente.
Nata dalla penna di Barbara Cantini, autrice e illustratrice italiana, pubblicata da Mondadori, Mortina è già un fenomeno editoriale: la collana composta da 6 libri ha venduto in 30 Paesi, conquistando bambini e genitori con il suo mix di humour e brividi a misura di bambino. Ora il personaggio è pronto a fare il salto sul piccolo schermo con una serie animata composta da 52 episodi da 12 minuti ciascuno. La produzione è firmata da Cartobaleno (Italia) e Treehouse Republic (Irlanda), con la partecipazione di RAIKIDS RAI-Radio Televisione Italiana e RTÉ, e il debutto dei primi 26 è previsto a fine 2025.

In fact, Mortina is far from ordinary – she’s a young zombie… or rather, a brilliant zombie detective who, together with her delightfully quirky Mystery Squad – an elegant albino greyhound, a know-it-all cousin, and two very-much-alive friends – takes on the strangest, spookiest, and most exciting mysteries inside the wonderfully eerie Crumbling Manor.
Created by Italian author-illustrator Barbara Cantini and published by Mondadori, Mortina is already a proven hit in publishing. The six-book series has sold in 30 countries, winning over children and parents alike with its unique mix of humour and just-spooky-enough fun. The character is now ready to make the leap to the small screen with an animated series consisting of 52 episodes, each 12 minutes long. Produced by Cartobaleno (Italy) and Treehouse Republic (Ireland), with the participation of RAIKIDS RAI-Radio Televisione Italiana and RTÉ, the show is slated to debut with its first 26 episodes in late 2025
